OSU offers open house for new students and their families
Friday, September 25, 2009
(Stillwater, OK September 25, 2009) - The Oklahoma State University Office of Undergraduate
Admissions will be hosting an open house for new students and their families on Monday,
October 5.
The day includes an inside look at academic colleges and the student life office,
lunch in the Student Union, and campus tours, according to associate director Kari
Alldredge.
“Getting students on campus is the best way to see if OSU is the right fit for them,”
said Alldredge. “It’s important for students to be here while the energy is great
during the week. They get an opportunity to see current students and get a feel for
the campus community and the community of Stillwater.”
Free bus transportation is available for students and families from Ada, Ardmore,
Bartlesville, Blackwell, Enid, Lawton, McAlester, Muskogee, Ponca City and Wichita.
“Open house is a great opportunity to explore all of the opportunities OSU has to
offer, whether it’s academic life or campus life. Students also get to eat lunch on
campus and really get to experience OSU as if they were a student,” Alldredge said.
Other open house dates will be offered throughout the year: November 7; January 30,
2010; April 10, 2010; and June 12, 2010.
