(Stillwater, OK March 23) -- The Oklahoma State University Office of Parent and Family
Relations will host Spring Family Weekend, including the 2nd Annual Mom’s Day Craft
Fair, on April 4 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Spring Family Weekend at OSU offers students the opportunity to welcome their families
to campus for springtime events such as an evening street party in downtown Stillwater,
campus tours, Cowboy baseball, concerts, Africa Night, Spring Sing and the Annual
Mom's Day Craft Fair.
The craft fair will feature handmade items from local and regional artists and crafters
including jewelry, home decor, kitchen wares, artwork, clothing, accessories, candles,
soap and more. Free refreshments are provided throughout the day. More information
is available at: http://parents.okstate.edu , according to Fran Gragg, coordinator
of the OSU Office of Parent and Family Relations.
From 1-4 p.m., future Cowboys ages 14-17 will have the opportunity to tour new campus
buildings, meet with admissions and financial aid representatives, and visit college
showcases. Reservations for this event are being taken online at http://admissions.okstate.edu/email/momsday.html.
At 2 p.m., the OSU Cowboy baseball team will take on Big 12 rival University of Texas
at Reynolds Stadium.
A performance by the OSU Percussion Ensembles is set for 4 p.m. in the OSU Seretean

The annual Spring Sing featuring 11 fraternities and sororities will perform choral-style
productions as part of the 44th annual Spring Sing competition at 5:30 p.m. at Gallagher-Iba

organization that raises money for cancer through the good will of college coaches.

each group will incorporate an Aerosmith song into their production. Tickets are $10
in advance or $12 at the door.
The Seretean Center will host Africa night at 6 p.m. with a cultural performance and
dinner presented exclusively by current OSU students from different countries in Africa.
This year after the cultural performance, a dinner will be served featuring various
African dishes. The entrance fee is $8 before April 4 and $10 on April 4.
