Disposing compact fluorescent bulbs
Your compact fluorescent bulbs at home contain a very small amount of mercury and should be disposed of properly. The Stillwater Lowe’s store has a CFL recycling program available to the community. Just bring your used bulbs intact to the Customer Service desk and they will be sealed in plastic bags for recycling. If you ever accidentally break a CFL bulb, clean-up is simple as outlined on the EPA’s website, click here.
