Grammy-nominated jazz artist to perform with his trio

One of the most acclaimed and charismatic jazz artists ever, grammy-nominated Joshua Redman comes to the OSU campus in Stillwater on Sunday, Oct. 10, at 8 p.m. when his jazz trio will perform a concert at the Seretean Center Concert Hall on the OSU campus in Stillwater.
Music has always been an important aspect in Redman’s life, he began playing clarinet at age nine before switching to what became his primary instrument, the tenor saxophone, one year later.
In addition to his own projects, he has recorded and performed with musicians such as the Dave Matthews Band, Dave Brubeck, Chick Corea, B.B. King, The Rolling Stones, Branford Marsalis and Stevie Wonder.
The Inside Story lecture for this performance will take place in the Seretean Center Room 123 at 7:00 p.m. on the night of the concert. Dr. Jonathan Martin, Professor of trumpet and jazz studies at OSU will present the program. The Inside Story is free of charge and open to the public.
