New law bans synthetic marijuana
As of November 1, it became unlawful in Oklahoma to possess, distribute, dispense or transport synthetic marijuana or cannabinoids. A synthetic cannabinoid is a type of designer drug, often marketed as incense or herbs, which are best known by brand names “K2,” “Spice,” “Genie,” and others. Law enforcement agencies throughout the state, including the OSU and Stillwater Police Departments, will enforce this law. Violations of the law result in criminal prosecution. Student possession or use of synthetic cannabinoids is a violation of the Student Code of Conduct. Faculty and staff possession or use violates OSU’s Drug Free Workplace policy
