OSU mathematician elected trustee of national society
Dr. William Jaco, Regents Professor and Grace B. Kerr Professor of Mathematics, has been elected to serve as a trustee of the American Mathematical Society for a five-year term starting Feb. 1, 2011. The board, including five elected and three ex-officio members, administers the funds of the Society, control its investments and properties, makes all contracts, and conducts its business affairs. Jaco served as executive director and chief executive officer of the Society from 1988-1995. For more, click here.
