“An Interview with Jack Welch” at OSU
Jack Welch, former chairman and CEO of General Electric, will outline his stellar career in an interview with Spears School of Business Dean Larry Crosby on Monday, Feb. 21, from 3:30 - 5 p.m., at Gallagher-Iba Arena at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater.
Welch, the author of “Winning,” a #1 Wall Street Journal and international best-seller, began his career with the General Electric Company in 1960, and in 1981 became the company’s 8th chairman and chief executive officer. During his 20+ year tenure as CEO, the company’s market capitalization rose from $13 billion to $400 billion.
In 2000, Welch was named “Manager of the Century” by Fortune magazine. He is currently the head of Jack Welch, LLC, where he serves as special partner with the private equity firm, Clayton, Dubilier & Rice and is a consultant to IAC (Interactive Corp).
The program is sponsored by the OSU Student Government Association, Spears School of Business, School of International Studies, and the OSU President's Office.
