Ann Hargis presents Lahoma Club Scholarship

OSU First Lady Ann Hargis presents the Ann Hargis Lahoma Scholarship to this year’s recipient, Kea Beasley of Oklahoma City.  Beasley majors in Music at the College of Arts and Sciences.  In addition to her studies, she teaches future violinists and manages and performs in her own string quartet, Serenity String Quartet.  A fifth year senior, Beasley plans to continue on to graduate school majoring in music. 

Lahoma Club members awarded seven $500 scholarships this year.  The other scholarships were presented at a recent luncheon meeting.  Beasley was unable to attend as she was making up a class that was canceled during the winter storms. 

The next Lahoma Club meeting will be on Monday, Mar. 14, from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Freddie Paul’s Steakhouse located at 1707 East 6th Street.  Luncheon reservations are required by Monday, Mar. 7.  The cost is $12 per person. Checks (made payable to Lahoma) may be mailed to Lahoma, P.O. Box 2704, Stillwater, OK 74076.
