Jennie Badley, a Ponca City Senior High School graduate, has received the 2011-2012 Lew Wentz Ponca City Scholarship to attend Oklahoma State University.

She is the daughter of Perry and Lori Badley and was selected for her academic accomplishments and leadership abilities.  She intends to enroll in the OSU College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources as a Biochemistry major.

The $16,000 scholarship, payable $4,000 a year for four years, is in recognition of Lew Wentz’s link to the Ponca City community, where he lived so long and generously. The program is funded by the Lew Wentz Foundation and administered by the Oklahoma State University Office of Scholar Development and Recognition.
