Freshman Friday: Christina Allen
Wednesday, March 9, 2011
Oklahoma State University is offering a closer look into the lives of its freshmen students. Each Friday, one freshman will be highlighted on the OSU Facebook page as part of the "Freshman Friday" feature. The freshmen profiles will share students' first impressions and experiences at OSU and create a unique way for others to get to know first-year students. If this is your first year at OSU and you want to participate in "Freshman Friday," please contact Amy Wilson at amy.k.wilson10@okstate.edu.

Why did you choose to attend OSU?
I chose to attend OSU because I love Stillwater and it is a family tradition to get
a degree from Oklahoma State.
What has been your favorite experience so far?
So far my favorite experience would have to be campus life and football season with
my sorority sisters. The atmosphere and energy on Orange Friday and gameday is so
exciting and fun!
What do you wish you would have known before coming to college?
I wish I would have known that college isn't as scary as you think. The facutly are
very helpful and kind, as are the older students. Everyone is friendly and willing
to lend a hand when needed, which is something I stressed over big time!
What changes do you hope to see during your years at OSU?
I hope to see the finished version of the student union and all the modifications
that are being made to beautify our campus. I also really would like to beat OU before
I graduate!
Where do you see yourself after graduation?
After graduation I will hopefully have a job lined up in my field of knowledge.. or
at least a few options of employment that I enjoy!
What advice would you give to high school seniors who are thinking about coming to
OSU?
Definitely come visit OSU on a school day. You really get to see the college life-style
of going to class and they day to day duties that are included. Also, if you have
any questions about ANYTHING, call and ask. Everyone is very helpful and wants to
make your Oklahoma State experience as worthwhile as possible.
