Greek Discovery Day 2011

Friday, February 25, 2011

High school students from across Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Missouri, and Arkansas will have the opportunity to visit Oklahoma State University on March 26 and participate in Greek Discovery Day 2011 where they will learn about the Greek community and recruitment processes.

Greek Discovery Day 2011 will take place on Saturday, March 26, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.  All high school juniors and seniors and their parents, as well as any current non-Greek OSU student, are welcome to attend.

Students and parents will learn the benefits of Greek membership and joining the Greek community. The day will include informative, exciting programs for students and parents. Students also will have the opportunity to participate in chapter house and campus tours.

“Greek Discovery Day is an event that showcases all of the opportunities available for potential new members within OSU Greek Life and its individual chapters,” said Justin Yearwood, Interfraternity Council external vice president. “It wasn't until I attended this event as a college freshman that I was able recognize those opportunities and I can't imagine what the last few years would have been like if I hadn't attended.”

Students can register online at http://union.okstate.edu/GoGreek/GDD.htm. The online registration deadline is noon on Friday, March 11 to receive a t-shirt, after March 11 you can still register online but will not receive the t-shirt. If you have trouble with the online registration please call (405) 744-5490.

Registration will still be taken onsite on Greek Discovery Day. For students who miss the March 11 deadline for a free t-shirt, shirts will be available for $10 during Greek Discovery Day.
