OSU alum William Hite featured speaker for the Puterbaugh Ethics lecture

Wednesday, September 14, 2011

William “Bill” Hite, founder and CEO of Hull Speed Associates, which operates in seven countries and has offices in Munich and Boston, will be the featured speaker for the 2011 Puterbaugh Ethics Lecture on Sept. 27 at the Stillwater campus of Oklahoma State University. He will be speaking on “Ethics and International Business.”

The lecture, scheduled for 2:00-3:15 p.m. in Engineering South Building Room 317, is open to the public at no charge.

“The Spears School is working hard to leverage its connections with alumni and we are excited about Mr. Hite's visit,” said Andrew Urich, the Puterbaugh Professor of Ethics and Legal Studies at Oklahoma State. “In addition to delivering this semester's Puterbaugh Ethics Lecture, Mr. Hite will be speaking to two business classes. The chance to meet with executives in the business world, particularly those who have international business experience, is a real benefit for the students, and we appreciate Mr. Hite's commitment to OSU.”

Hite, who graduated from Oklahoma State with an accounting degree, founded Hull Speed Associates after a successful 24-year career with venture capital-backed IT companies, financial services and public accounting firms. An international business services company, Hull Speed helps companies expand into foreign markets and manages their foreign subsidiaries.

He currently writes a monthly column for CFOmagazine.com and is a frequent speaker at the European University in Munich. He also is a frequent seminar speaker on international expansion for companies throughout the United States and Germany. Hite has lived and worked internationally for 15 years in six countries. He speaks English, German, and basic Dutch. He lives in the Bavarian countryside south of Munich with his wife and two children.

The Puterbaugh Ethics Lecture is sponsored by the Honorable Steven Taylor, Chief Justice of the Oklahoma Supreme Court.
