OSU student associations recognized at regional conference

 Members of the Asian American Student Association (AASA) and Vietnamese American Student Association (VASA) at OSU won several awards for outstanding performance, 2010-2011, at the recent Midwest Asian American Student Union (MAASU) conference in Minneapolis, including:

 Board of Advisors Award (BOA) in recognition of outstanding Asian Pacific Islander (APIA) programming, positive collaboration between other APIA organizations, and for strong involvement within MAASU.

 Certificate of Achievement in recognition of outstanding contributions to the Habitat for Humanity Program.

 AASA active members, Leona Thao and Teresa Tran are recipients of the Midwestern Star Awards for their commitment to fostering and cultivating positive changes within their Asian Pacific Islander Community locally and regionally.

 AASA members, Chetana Musapeta and Leona Thao were elected secretary and communication chair of the Executive Coordinating Committee for the Midwest Asian American Student Union, 2011-2012.
