OSU degree stats support diversity
The latest statistics (2009-10) show that OSU Institute of Technology ranks first in the number of Native Americans earning an associate’s degree in education, as well as engineering technologies and engineering-related fields. OSUIT is also in sixth place nationally for Native Americans earning all types of associate’s degrees.
OSU-OKC ranks 19 nationally in Native Americans earning an associate’s degree in homeland security, law enforcement, firefighting and related protective services.
OSU in Stillwater is ranked eighth nationally for the number of Native American students earning master’s degrees. As previously reported, the same statistics show that OSU in Stillwater has more Native American graduates than any other school nationally.
The rankings are based on data from the National Center for Education Statistics. For more information, see the May and July editions of “Diverse Issues in Higher Education” magazine.
