OSU mourns the death of Dr. Kenneth Smith, medical director of University Health Services

The Oklahoma State University community is saddened by the death of Dr. Kenneth Smith.  Dr. Smith had been the medical director of University Health Services (UHS) since 2007.

“Dr. Smith was respected, well liked and admired by those who worked with him.  He was dedicated to providing the best care for his patients, the students of OSU,” said UHS director Steve Rogers.  “He was pleasant, professional, and thorough and kept a positive attitude at all times.  We are all saddened by this sudden loss.” 

Smith served as team physician for OSU Athletics from 1993 until 2007.  He received his medical degree from the OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine. 

Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2011 at Sunnybrook Christian Church in Stillwater.  Memorial contributions can be made to North Jardot Church of Christ, 5201 W. 8th Avenue, Stillwater Oklahoma.  Condolences to the family can be made online at www.strodefh.com

Smith, 52, died unexpectedly Monday, June 21, 2011. He is survived by his wife Donna and two daughters.
