OSU Research Week

Oklahoma State University will hold its annual Research Week February 21-25 in Stillwater. The event will feature a variety of speakers, symposiums, performances and presentations – all aimed at highlighting the impact of research and creative activity.
Events include:
- The Mars Project: How Design and Innovation Got Us There, a talk by Dr. Steven Squyres, principal investigator of NASA’s Mars Exploration Program
- An energy panel featuring Oklahoma Secretary of Energy Dr. Mike Ming
- Learning at your Fingertips, a presentation about the impact of the Apple iPad and technology on student learning. The presentation will also feature results from OSU’s iPad pilot program.
- Performances of Tennessee Williams’ classic The Glass Menagerie by the OSU Theatre department
- Presentations by OSU’s Riata Faculty Fellows, who are incorporating entrepreneurship into their diverse home disciplines
- Ethics, Race and Medical Research, a lecture by award-winning medical writer Harriet Washington
Research Week will also feature the annual student Research Symposium, where student researchers from OSU and 26 other universities will present their work.
“OSU Research Week is an opportunity for those inside and outside the OSU System to be introduced to the many creative and innovative projects underway here at OSU and across the nation,” said Stephen McKeever, vice president for research and technology transfer.
