OSU Veterinary Center presents Pet Rehabilitation Tips

Friday, February 18, 2011

Pet rehabilitation will be the topic of discussion at the next Pet Care Seminar sponsored by the Oklahoma State University Center for Veterinary Health Sciences.  Danielle Dugat, DVM, a Resident in Small Animal Surgery at the veterinary center, will present “Rehabilitation for My Pet: Is there such a thing?” on Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at 7 p.m. in McElroy Hall Auditorium located at the corner of McFarland and Farm Road on the OSU Stillwater campus.

“Rehabilitation is a very important part of our pets’ healing,” explains Dr. Dugat.  “There are many conditions, such as knee surgeries, that rehabilitation can improve.  This seminar will focus on the goals of physical therapy, the types of rehabilitation available and specific conditions that can be treated such as knee surgeries (cranial cruciate, ligament rupture), hip dysplasia, weight loss, arthritis, neurologic conditions (disk rupture).”

Pet Care Seminars are open to the public at no charge.  Complimentary parking and light refreshments will be available.
