Pianist Ning An to play free solo recital
Renowned pianist Ning An, who has performed as a soloist with the London Symphony
Orchestra, Warsaw Philharmonic, Moscow Radio Symphony and numerous others, will play
a solo recital of works by Liszt and Chopin in the Concert Hall of the Seretean Center
for the Performing Arts at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17.
An will also present a master class with OSU piano major performers on Friday, Sept.
16, from 3-5 p.m. in the Concert Hall
An is a laureate of the Queen Elizabeth Music Competition in Brussels, the International
Chopin Competition in Warsaw, the American Pianists Association, the Kosciusko Chopin
Competition, the Stravinsky International Piano Competition, the Paloma O'Shea Santander
Competition in Spain, and won the audience prize at the 2002 Rachmaninoff International
Competition.
An's visit is made possible by a grant from the Fae Rawdon Norris Foundation for the
Humanities. Both the solo and master class presentation are free and open to the public.
