Top Twenty Freshmen Men and Women selected
Thursday, September 29, 2011
Forty Oklahoma State University students have been named Top Twenty Freshmen Men and Women for 2011.
The selection of students, who are now in their sophomore year at OSU, is based upon scholastic achievement, leadership and participation in campus activities, service and awareness of the student’s role at the university. The honor is to recognize and encourage leadership among freshmen.
Mortar Board is conducting interviews with the students and will be selecting the Top Ten Freshmen Men and Woman.
“We had an exceptional pool of students for the Top Twenty Freshmen this year, and
it will be very difficult to choose the Top Ten Freshmen Men and Top Ten Freshmen
Women this year,” said Meg Sokolosky, Mortar Board Top 10 Freshmen Coordinator from
Tulsa.
The Top Ten Freshmen Men and Top Ten Freshmen Women will be formally recognized,
along with their families, during a ceremony October 8 in the Willard Living Room
on the OSU campus, and later in the day during a ceremony at the OSU football game.
