Free Welcome Week activities for students

Welcome new students! In addition to social and athletic events, there are 150 programs to choose from during Welcome Week, which emphasize the six pillars of student success, academic excellence, leadership, service and civic engagement, finding one's purpose, broadening your horizons and wellness.

One of the many highlights of Welcome Week is the College Spotlight on Friday, Aug. 19, at 2 p.m. when students, who have signed up for the event, will get the opportunity to go to their intended college and meet the dean and faculty. 

The President’s Convocation will follow at 4 p.m. on Friday in Gallagher-Iba Arena and all new students are invited to attend as OSU President Burns Hargis offers them an official welcome to campus.

New students, who want to get a taste of OSU’s winning tradition, may want to buy tickets to the women’s soccer game that night as the Cowgirls face TCU at 7 p.m. in Stillwater.
