Wentz scholarships for non-traditional continuing undergraduate students announced

Eight students have been selected to receive $1,500 Lew Wentz Scholarships for non-traditional students and others who have overcome obstacles to work toward undergraduate degrees. These awards recognize the effort and sacrifices students sometimes undertake in order to reach their academic goals. The program is funded by the Lew Wentz Foundation and administered by the Office of Scholar Development and Recognition and the Office of University Academic Services.
Applicants for the award must submit a 600-800 word essay on their educational background. The essay must include any details relevant to why they should be chosen, such as their experiences and financial situation. Also, the essay should include their career objectives and how the scholarship will help them achieve the.
