Tuesday, January 17, 2012

Oklahoma State University's fraternity and sorority community is pleased to welcome to campus a new Panhellenic organization, Alpha Omicron Pi.

"It has been a very long time since we've had the opportunity to welcome a new Panhellenic organization into our family," said Liz Osborne, Coordinator for OSU's Fraternity and Sorority Affairs. "We couldn't be more excited as we welcome our new sisters."

Recruitment events for colonization will take place Jan. 19 through 21. These events are a fun, interactive way to learn more about Alpha Omicron Pi and its new home within the OSU community. The schedule for the colonization events are:

Thursday, Jan. 19: "Picture Yourself in AOII" at the ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center in Click Hall at 7 p.m.

Friday, Jan. 20: "Build-A-Panda" at the ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center in Click Hall at 7 p.m.

Saturday, Jan. 21: "A Black Tie Affair" at the ConocoPhillips OSU Alumni Center in Click Hall 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. (By invitation only)

Sunday, Jan. 22: "It's Sweet to be an AOII" in Wes Watkins Center at 1 p.m.

Sunday, Jan. 22: "Colonization Ceremony" in Wes Watkins Center at 5 p.m.

Osborne said the colonization week caps many months of planning to ensure a successful introduction of Alpha Omicron Pi into OSU's thriving campus and Greek community.
