Art collection scavenger hunt set
Students, faculty and staff are being invited to participate in a scavenger hunt from Sept. 11-18 to seek out actual pieces of OSU’s permanent art collection, which are on display at various locations throughout campus. Players will be able to hunt by following @OSUArtMuseum on Twitter, where clues will be released throughout the week of the hunt. The idea is to get hunters more familiar with the OSU art collection, the Gardiner Gallery, the Art History Organization and the OSU campus.
A kickoff event for the scavenger hunt is set for Tuesday, Sept. 11, at 6 p.m. in Student Union Case Study room 416 with guest speaker Mark White, chief curator of the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art. Attendance at the kickoff is not a requirement for participation in the hunt. Ten scavenger hunt winners will get prizes that include a hard hat tour of the OSUMA Postal Plaza Gallery, $10 gift certificate from a Stillwater business and a T-shirt.
