Catch the political satire of the Capitol Steps
The Capitol Steps will offer song parodies and skits to convey their special brand of satirical humor on Tuesday, Oct. 16, at 8 p.m. in the OSU Seretean Center Concert Hall. The Capitol Steps were formed in 1981 by congressional staffers. While not all of the current members of the Steps are former Capitol Hill staffers, taken together, the performers have worked in a total of eighteen Congressional offices and represent 62 years of collective House and Senate staff experience.
Since they began, the Capitol Steps have recorded over 30 albums, including their latest: “Take the Money and Run—for President.” The group has been featured on NBC, CBS, ABC, and PBS, and can be heard 4 times a year on National Public Radio stations nationwide during their “Politics Takes a Holiday” radio specials.
Tickets for the Capitol Steps performance in Stillwater are currently available for purchase at alliedarts.okstate.edu or by calling (405) 744-7509. Tickets for OSU Students and children 12 and under $8. Regular admission tickets are $15.
