Get paid for your old electronics

Don’t throw away your old electronics; get paid to recycle them! OrangeTech in the University Store at the Student Union on the Oklahoma State University campus is proud to partner with Engaged Recycling to help you recycle your trash for cash.

"Many people don't know chemicals in old electronics leak into the soil and cause harm when the device breaks down in a landfill," said Bryson Baker, assistant manager-technology at the University Store at the Student Union. "This partnership reflects our desire to find innovative ways to benefit students, while also reducing our carbon footprint and supporting the OSU Going Green for a Brighter Orange initiative."

Simply bring in your outdated electronics and OrangeTech associates will process your recycling requests with you to get you cash for your trash. Shipping your gadgets to Engaged Recycling is free. Your payment for the items will come in the form of a Visa gift card that is mailed to your address. Engaged Recycling accepts old cell phones, GPS systems, mp3 players, video cameras, laptops, cameras, gaming equipment and more.

OrangeTech is committed to fulfilling the technology needs of the OSU community.  OrangeTech not only provides Apple and Dell products, but also gaming supplies and more. All OrangeTech proceeds fund an array of opportunities for students to further their university experience. These include Campus Life programs such as Camp Cowboy and more than 125 Student Union Activities Board events annually. Each of these allows students to supplement the classroom experience with cultural learning, leadership experience and networking opportunities.

Oklahoma State University is home to the most comprehensive Student Union in the world. A recent $63 million renovation has given new life to the historic building. For more than 60 years, the Union has been a central part of university life with thousands of students, faculty, alumni and staff visiting each day.
