Greek Discovery Day 2012
Wednesday, March 7, 2012
Students from across the country have the opportunity to visit Oklahoma State University on March 31 and participate in Greek Discovery Day 2012 to learn about the Greek community and recruitment processes.
Greek Discovery Day 2012 will take place on Saturday, March 31 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. All high school juniors and seniors and their parents as well as any current non-Greek OSU students are welcome to attend.
Greek Discovery Day is an all-day event that provides students and parents with an overview of the Interfraternity Council, Multicultural Greek Council, the National Pan-Hellenic Council and the Panhellenic Council. It also gives students an opportunity to meet with current chapter members.
Greek Discovery Day activities include an informal browse session, comments from university administration, informational sessions on the different recruitment processes, fraternity chapter house tours, sorority mock recruitment and optional evening activities.
"We are very excited about Greek Discovery Day and the opportunity we have to show students the different aspects of Greek life," said Meaghan Hoose, Panhellenic Council External Vice President. Drew Mireles, IFC External Vice President said, "Being Greek has provided me with so many amazing opportunities and this event is a way for interested students to see what it is all about."
Students can register online at http://gogreek.okstate.edu. The online registration deadline will be noon on Wednesday, March 28. Any registrations received after Friday March 16th will not include a Greek Discovery Day T-shirt. Onsite registration will be available with cash or check.
