Miss OSU pageant is accepting applications

The Miss Oklahoma State University pageant is now accepting applications from current OSU students.  This event will be held on October 25, 2012 at 8 p.m. in the OSU Seretean Center Concert Hall.  Miss OSU is open to women between the ages of 17 and 26 at all OSU campuses.

 Whoever is crowned Miss OSU will be a representative of Oklahoma State University in a variety of settings.  In the past, she has helped attract prospective students, performed her talent on regional cable television, judged other pageants, and promoted her platform at area schools.

Most recently, the young women who have been crowned Miss OSU have gone on to great success at higher levels. Former Miss OSU, Betty Thompson, was runner-up in this year’s Miss America pageant.  Also, Miss OSU 2012, Aly Akers, won preliminary talent and placed in the top 10 at the Miss Oklahoma pageant.

Applications must be submitted to the OSU Campus Life Information Desk (211Student Union) by Friday, September 14 at 5 p.m.
