Oklahoma State University employee Monica Dudley, 27, was killed Feb. 1 in an automobile accident near Coyle.

She was a doctoral student in educational leadership and earned undergraduate and master’s degrees from Oklahoma State University in political science.

Dudley was coordinator of both the RISE (Retention Initiative for Student Excellence) and Inclusion Leadership programs in OSU’s Institutional Diversity organization.  She was teaching two classes in the College of Arts and Sciences: Diversity and Inclusion Leadership in the 21st Century, and Inclusion Leadership.

“Oklahoma State University is devastated by the loss of Monica Dudley,” said Jason Kirksey, associate vice president, OSU Institutional Diversity.  “We send our thoughts and prayers to her family and friends.  She was a bright young lady who achieved so much and was destine to accomplish so much more.  She effectively juggled a number of duties at OSU while completing her doctorate.  She had a passion for teaching and helping young people realize their abilities to be successful in life.  She will be missed.”
