OSU Apparel Design hosts fashion show: Euphoria

Oklahoma State University Design, Housing and Merchandising students will present
the Euphoria Fashion Show on April 20 at 8 p.m. in the College of Human Sciences courtyard
on the OSU Stillwater campus. Student designers will present ten collections as well
as a variety of pieces ranging from office-appropriate separates to dresses, corsets
and even some pieces constructed from non-traditional materials.
Many apparel design and production students have been recognized recently with awards
in fashion competitions. Euphoria is an opportunity to showcase the designers’ work
on campus in a professional-style event.
“We’re thrilled to showcase the creativity of all the designers and to show the university
and the Stillwater community what the DHM apparel design program is all about,” said
Sarah Chorley, Euphoria producer and apparel design and production major.
Euphoria producer and apparel design and production major Emily Ferrell said it has
taken a lot of hard work to produce the show, but the results will be well worth it.
“As an apparel design senior, I am designing my collection while coordinating the
show and taking other classes,” Ferrell said. “Although at times it is a challenge,
I am passionate about designing and showing the talent of all of our design students,
so it is worth it!”
The event is organized by OSU’s Merchandising and Apparel Design Association and
produced by apparel design and production majors Chorley and Ferrell.
Tickets for the event are $10 for general admission prior to April 18 or $15 at the
