OSU exceeds goal, raises record dollars for United Way

Oklahoma State University’s 2012 Campaign for United Way surpassed its goal yet again, raising a record $239, 068.18. The annual campaign started in September with a goal of $230,000.
“Last year the goal was $200,000 and, as we had raised more than that, it seemed only right to ensure that our goal for this year would be a bit of a stretch,” said Bruce Crauder, Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and 2012 Chair OSU United Way Campaign. “After all, there is great need for the services of the agencies supported by the United Way.
Campaign events included chili cook-offs, raffles, bake sales, the campus-wide Wellness Walk, proceeds from parking during football games, and annual trivia night.
“Every year, so many parts of the campus contribute, each in their own way, to making the OSU United Way campaigns successful,” Crauder said. “Serving the people helped by the United Way by making our goal is always the most rewarding part of this campaign.”
The 2013 campaign will begin in September under the direction of Rich Paustenbaugh, Associate Dean of Libraries
