OSU lot offers new ways to pay to park

Digital Luke Meter pay station

If you park in one of the 131 spaces in lot 80 near the Colvin Center at OSU, you can pay to park using your cell phone and other mobile applications. The plan is to extend the system to other metered lots in the future.

Individuals who park in the lot are being invited to register for free to use the new system, which will allow customers to use a mobile app, the internet, QR code, or call toll free, 1-877-727-5715, to pay for parking. After setting up an account at www.parkmobile.com, customers can immediately start using the system and select an option to receive text message alerts and reminders.

“With this technology, customers no longer have to search for change at their destination,” said Albert Bogaard, CEO of Parkmobile USA, Inc. “Our mobile payment service is an example of another technology that can make our lives easier and more efficient.”

Customers are also now able to pay at the Digital Luke Meter Pay Stations (located on the north side of lot 80) which accepts credit cards, cash, coins or can extend time by using their cellular device (if using credit card) . Customers who use Parkmobile have the advantage to park and pay for their space on the go without having to wait in line for the meter.
