OSU student competing for Miss America crown

OSU’s own Betty Thompson will compete in the televised finals of the 2012 Miss America Pageant on Saturday starting at 8 p.m. on ABC. Thompson won the talent competition at the Miss America preliminaries earlier this week.

Thompson, Miss OSU 2011, was crowned Miss Oklahoma last June in Tulsa. She is an elementary education major.

The OSU Student Government Association is sponsoring a watch party scheduled for 8 p.m. Saturday at Eskimo Joes with appetizers provided while supplies last.
