Symphony to perform last concert of the season
The OSU Symphony Orchestra will perform its final concert of the season on Tuesday, April 3, at 8 p.m. in the concert hall of the Seretean Center for the Performing Arts. Student concerto competition winners and the orchestra will be featured with music from Handel, Puccini and Brahms under the direction of Douglas Droste.
The student concerto competition winners are Will Shaw on the trombone and soprano Mallory Turlington. Shaw will be performing Handel’s Oboe Concerto No. 3, arranged for Trombone and String Orchestra, and Turlington will perform “Chi il bel sogno” from Puccini’s “LaRondine.” Johannes Brahms’ “Symphony No. 1” will conclude the program.
General admission is $8. Students and senior citizen admission is $6.
