OSU Theatre offering “Far Away”
OSU Theatre starts a new season with “Far Away,” an hour-long futuristic nightmare set for Tuesday - Friday, Sept. 25- 28, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 30, at 2:30 p.m. in the Davis Theatre at Gundersen Hall.
Celebrated playwrite Caryl Churchhill uses “Far Away” to introduce a dark world where the promise of violence broods and nothing is to be trusted. The characters seek refuge from a global conflict where even the animals are on one side or another.
The play forces us to consider the constant warfare we all face year after year and may be disturbing for many. Adult content and language. The New York Times calls it “Ravishing, deeply disturbing.”
There will be a talkback session after each performance. Admission is $5 at the door. For more information, call (405) 744-6094.
