OSU Theatre to present “The Drowsy Chaperone”
OSU Theatre will present the 2006 hit musical “The Drowsy Chaperone” at the Vivia Locke Theatre in the Seretean Center for the Performing Arts in Stillwater, April 17 - 22.
When a die-hard musical theater fan plays his favorite recording of an early musical, it bursts to life in his living room, telling the rambunctious tale of a brazen Broadway starlet trying to find and keep her true love. “The Drowsy Chaperone” is a musical for all ages that is full of surprises, mayhem, sabotage, gangsters, a blindfolded roller-skater and an airplane.
Called a homage to American musicals of the jazz age, “The Drowsy Chaperone” is directed by B. Peter Westerhoff and completes the OSU Theatre Department’s 40th Anniversary season. The cast includes: Erin Jacobs, Drowsy Chaperone; James Knowlton, Robert Martin; Liz Bealko, Janet; John Leos, George; Bennette Cravens, Mr. Feldzieg; Kaley Durland, Kitty; Lindsay Yates, Trix; Wesley James, Underling; Maddie Pritner, Mrs. Tottendale; John Beier, gangster #2; Patterson Allen, gangster #1; Bill Sheets, Aldolpho; Kash Clemishire, ensemble; Josh Hurt, ensemble; Jacob Brackunier, ensemble; Andi Powers, ensemble; Tim Stewart (OSU alum), man in the chair.
