OSU's FIJI Chapter captures national honors

The Sigma Omicron Chapter of the Fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta at Oklahoma State University was recently recognized with national awards for the 2011-12 school year during the Fraternity’s 164th Ekklesia (biennial convention) in New Orleans.
Sigma Omicron received second place honors fraternity-wide in the Brightman Trophy
for outstanding graduate relations. Individually, Kim W. Cunningham, a 1975 OSU Alum,
received distinguished service honors in the Coulter Cup recognizing service to an
undergraduate chapter other than as a chapter advisor.
Also, for the 23rd consecutive year, Sigma Omicron received a Certificate of Superior Academic Achievement
for achieving a chapter grade point average above the all-men’s average, along with
a John Templeton McCarty Chapter Proficiency Award recognizing excellence in overall
chapter operations for the 9th year. All awards are given on an annual basis.
Founded in 1848 at Jefferson College in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, the Fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta is represented on 144 campuses of leading colleges and universities throughout the United States and Canada, and has a total living membership of more than 122,000.
