Ann Hargis named among OKC's most powerful women

OSU’s Ann Hargis has been named one of “OKC’s 50 Most Powerful Women” by the Oklahoma City Friday newspaper. An article in a recent edition puts Hargis among the top 15 on the list and notes that she became the “First Lady” or “First Cowgirl” of Oklahoma State University when her husband, Burns, took office as the 18th president of the OSU system.

Hargis is an active ambassador for OSU. In addition to partnering with President Hargis on many activities with students, faculty, alumni, donors and others, she is active across the campus and involved in several community organizations. As First Cowgirl, she also champions OSU’s efforts to be America’s Healthiest Campus.
