From Radiohead to Mozart—see the SYBARITE5
See why the SYBARITE5 enjoy a rock star status in the classical crossover world that is well deserved as they perform at the OSU Seretean Center Concert Hall on Monday, Nov. 5 at 8 p.m. One reviewer writes of SYBARITE5, “Their classically-honed technique, mixed with grit and all out passionate attack, transfixes the audience...” SYBARITE5 is the first string quintet ever selected as winners of Concert Artists Guild International Competition in its 60 year history.
During their upcoming performance, the group will share a unique audience experience called The Shuffle Effect. The traditional set program list is replaced with an iPod containing the group's repertoire. The program for the concert is determined live from the stage, as the players press shuffle on the iPod and play whatever piece shows up on the screen. Audiences must be prepared for anything - from Radiohead to Mozart, The Shuffle Effect allows the musicians to showcase their skill, innovation and vibrancy.
Tickets for the SYBARITE5 performance are on sale at alliedarts.okstate.edu or by calling (405) 744-7509. Tickets for OSU Students and children 12 and under are $8. Regular admission tickets are $15 and $20.
