Students presenting research at water conference
OSU students will give oral presentations unitl 5:30 p.m. today as part of a water conference in the Advanced Technology Research Center. The presentations are taking place in room 102 a the ATRC.
Approximately 40 students will participate and present their water-related research. Students participating in the conference are from OSU, and 12 will visit from outside universities. The other universities include Auburn University, Nebraska-Wesleyan, Texas A&M University, University of Arkansas, University of Kentucky, and the University of Missouri.
Oral presentation topics include protecting water quality; storm water management and quality; soil and groundwater hydrology; and erosion and sediment transport. A dessert reception is planned for this evening (7:30 - 8:30 p.m.) with the awarding of plaques for outstanding undergraduate and graduate student presentations.
The conference is made possible by funding from a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant and in partnership with the Oklahoma Water Resources Center.
