Burns and Ann Hargis receive Jasmine Award

The Jasmine Moran Children’s Museum honored Oklahoma State University President Burns Hargis and his wife Ann with the Jasmine Award on Tuesday, Oct. 8, during a benefit banquet at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City. 

The Jasmine Award is presented once every two years to those who have given extraordinary service to the youth of Oklahoma. Previous honorees have been Cathy Keating, David and Molly Boren, Gene Rainbolt, Kim Henry, George and Donna Nigh, Barry Switzer and Robert Henry. 

Proceeds from the tribute were used to support exhibits and admission scholarships at the Jasmine Moran Children’s Museum in Seminole, Okla.
