Oklahoma State University President Burns Hargis statement regarding GE’s plans announced
Wednesday to build a world-class oil and gas global research center in Oklahoma:
“The announcement today by GE to build a world-class technology center focused on
driving innovations in the all-important energy industry presents a significant opportunity
for research institutions such as Oklahoma State University to collaborate on projects
with a respected company revered for its technological acumen.
At Oklahoma State, we are delighted to welcome GE to Oklahoma, and partner with our
fellow Oklahoma universities on far-sighted initiatives to advance innovative science
in the field of geosciences and geology. We look forward to teaming with GE and other
