Harvest II Food Drive underway

Final collections on Friday, Nov. 8, at Whitehurst flagpole
The Junior Service League of Stillwater and Oklahoma State University have partnered
to support the annual Harvest II Food Drive, which is currently underway. Activities
conclude Friday, Nov. 8, between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. when donations can be dropped
off at the flagpole near Whitehurst.
Thanks to all those who participate, including those involved in the Harvest Carnival
during Homecoming week!
Food gathered from Harvest II will be distributed to
PAYNE COUNTY AREA FAMILIES by the following agencies:
Mission of Hope, Stillwater Domestic Violence,Payne County Youth Shelter, COCAA,
Cowboys with Compassion, Southern Heights Love Feast, Salvation Army, Neighborhood
Ministries of Perkins, Operation Christmas, The Storehouse
Here's an idea of items to donate:
canned meats
canned vegetables
canned fruits
powdered milk
peanut butter
pasta
coffee
tea
rice
cereal
dried beans
sugar
meat soups
baby food
Cash donations are also welcome and provide perishable food items throughout the
year
