Lalman earns extension award
Dr. David Lalman recently received the American Society of Animal Science Extension Award for his work as a State Extension Beef Cattle Specialist at Oklahoma State University (OSU).
He has assisted in the production of 36 television and YouTube videos on cattle nutrition and management at OSU. Lalman’s extension and research program emphasis is on increasing profitability and reducing cost of production through improved forage utilization, defining optimal supplementation practices and evaluating beef production systems.

Along with the 36 videos, Lalman has published 44 peer reviewed journal articles, 82 abstracts, 70 research progress reports, 83 extension publications, 61 proceedings articles, given 589 in-state extension presentations and 36 national and international presentations.
The American Society of Animal Science Extension Award is given to members who have made outstanding and noteworthy contributions in animal science extension. The award this year by sponsored by Pfizer Animal Health.
