OSU Jazz Festival to offer top talent

Drummer Stockton Helbing is one of two guest artists who will perform Saturday.

OSU Jazz Festival is Saturday

Internationally renowned trombonist Marshall Gilkes and the current drummer for Doc Severinsen’s band, Stockton Helbing, are the guest artists who will perform at the OSU Jazz Festival set for Saturday, April 13, in the concert hall of the Seretean Cetner for the Performing Arts.

During the day, the festival will include opportunities for high school ensembles to perform and receive feedback, masterclasses and performances by the OSU Jazz Ensembles and esteemed guest artists. The event begins at 12:30 p.m. and will culminate with an 8 p.m. finale concert.

The OSU Jazz Festival is sponsored by President Hargis, the OSU Institute for Creativity and Innovation, the OSU Department of Entrepreneurship and the OSU Department of Music.

Tickets for the entire day are $15 at the door. For the finale concert, tickets will be $8 General Admission and $6 for Students and Senior Citizens.
