Volunteers from Oklahoma State University and the University of Missouri are planning to come together for a community service project to help the North Texas Food Bank in Dallas, Texas before the football teams hit the field to compete in the 2014 AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic January 3, 2014.
Both universities are looking for 30 volunteers to assist in sorting and packing food into boxes to help feed the hungry in north Texas.
“We are proud of OSU and Missouri fans coming together to provide help to the Dallas community and to such a worthy cause,” said OSU Volunteer Coordinator Joyce Montgomery.
The North Texas Food Bank provides 175,000 meals per day. Volunteers must be willing to go through pre-service training the morning of the game at 9 a.m. The project will last until 11 a.m. Kick-off for the game is scheduled for 7 p.m.
