OSU Opera presents “The Elixir of Love”

The OSU Opera will be present "L'Elizir D'Amore" (The Elixir of Love) by Gaetano Donizetti in Italian with English subtitles on Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the Seretean Center for the Performing Arts.

This comic opera, setting changed to rural Oklahoma, tells the story of a young peasant Nemorino who falls in love with the wealthy but fickle Adina. Nemorino's only chance to win over Adina's love comes with the help of the Dulcamara's cure-all potion of the Elixir of Love. A story the whole family will enjoy!!

Cast includes:

Adina: Lydia Bechtel (Friday evening) and Chelsey Wilburn (Saturday evening)
Nemorino: Michael Kollmorgen (Friday evening) and Anthony McMullen (Saturday evening)
Belcore: Bill Sheets (Friday evening) and Anthony Weber (Saturday evening)
Dulcamara: Jeffrey McCollum (Friday and Saturday evening)
Giannetta: Tiffany Wright (Friday evening) and Brittany Wright (Saturday evening)
Farmers, Soldiers and Peasant Women: Nick Chabot, Carol Coleson, Brianne Mathews, Ivan Ley, Grace Nelson, Elizabeth Koch, Taylor Anderson, Lauren Blakeburn, Bernardo Medeiros, Casey Carruth, Matthew Taylor.


Tickets can be purchased one hour prior to the performance at the concert hall box office. Tickets are $6 for students and senior citizens, and $8 for general admission.
