Oklahoma State University is a Kiplinger’s Personal Finance top-100 Best-Value in Public Colleges for 2012-2013, based on rankings of four-year schools that combine outstanding education and economic value. OSU has made the top-100 list ten times since 2000.

“Once again, we are pleased to be among Kiplinger's top values in higher education,” said OSU President Burns Hargis. “The importance and value of a college degree has never been more important to our state and nation.  Being recognized nationally for value is further proof that Oklahoma State University delivers a quality education at an affordable price.”

Kiplinger’s assesses quality according to a number of measurable standards, including the admission rate, the percentage of students who return for sophomore year, the student-faculty ratio and the four-year graduation rate. Cost criteria include low sticker prices, abundant financial aid and low average debt at graduation. OSU is among the schools that have appeared on the list multiple times, which is considered a testament to the consistent value it provides.

“We applaud this year’s top 100 schools for their efforts to maintain academic standards while meeting the financial needs of their students,” said Janet Bodnar, editor of Kiplinger’s Personal Finance

The annual public school rankings appear in Kiplinger’s February 2013 issue—on newsstands and online now at: www.kiplinger.com/links/college.
