Remembering the "4"

Oklahoma State University will honor the lives of Kurt Budke, Miranda Serna and Olin & Paula Branstetter at 12 p.m. on Sat. Nov. 16 prior to the OSU Women's Basketball vs. Northern Colorado game at Gallagher-Iba Arena. In lieu of a moment of silence, fans will be asked to stand and cheer prior to tip-off.  

Doors to GIA will open at 11 a.m. Saturday to give members of the OSU family a chance to visit a designated area in the east lobby where photos of Budke, Serna and the Branstetters will be displayed as well an any memorials.  

The four were killed on November 17, 2011 when the plane they were in crashed in central Arkansas.  

OSU Athletics will designate an area in the East Lobby of the Athletic Center where we will display photos and any memorials given by the OSU Family.  The arena will open one hour prior to tip-off at 11:00 a.m.  Also, prior to the start of the game, as we have done in the past, fans will be asked to stand and cheer in lieu of a moment of silence. 

In addition, on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at 7:00 p.m., the OSU Student Government Association will read a message to honor the four and light four wreaths during the Fanfare of Lights holiday gathering at  Chi-O clock located in the Student Union Plaza.
