The Oklahoma State University Service-Learning Volunteer Center has awarded six students with an honor CORD to be worn at graduation this weekend for their extensive service to the community.
“The ORANGE CORD represents the highest honor a student at OSU can receive from the
university for exemplary service to the community," said Joyce Montgomery, coordinator
of the OSU Service-Learning Center. "It indicates excellence in the areas of volunteer
management, educational awareness, client services and fundraising efforts. Students
receiving the CORD are setting benchmarks for the culture of service at OSU.”
The CORD is awarded to undergraduate students who have served 400 hours of community
service and to graduate students who have served at least 300 hours of community service
throughout their time at OSU.
