XANADU: Family-Friendly Roller Disco, 1980s Fun!
Break out your leg warmers and roller skates for Xanadu, a hilarious retro musical! When a Greek muse comes to earth, she inspires a struggling artist to create his greatest achievement: a roller disco. Based on the Universal Pictures’ cult classic starring Olivia Newton-John and Gene Kelly, the New York Times called it an “outlandishly enjoyable stage spoof of the outrageously bad movie.”
Directed by Peter Westerhoff, Xanadu will be presented by OSU Theatre at the Vivia Locke Theatre in the Seretean Center for the Performing Arts on April 17, 18,19, and 20 at 7:30pm, and April 21st at 2:30pm.Tickets are $15.00 General Admission and $12.00 Senior and Student. Call 405-744-6094 for tickets.
Says Director Peter Westerhoff “This family-friendly, roller skating musical adventure is about following your dreams despite the limitations others set for you.” With a book by Douglas Carter Beane and a hit score composed by pop-rock legends Jeff Lynne and John Farrar, Xanadu, features mirror balls, a flying horse, and a glittering cast on roller skates.
